Terms of Service



Valid Driver’s License

Students must ensure that their valid Driver’s License (regardless of class) is carried with them at all times during each lesson that they participate in. Failure to present an valid Driver’s License will result in the cancellation of the lesson, and the lesson will not be rescheduled. Students will be responsible for covering the cost of the lesson(s).

Student Cancellation/Rescheduling

Students are expected to make driving lessons a priority (similar to the commitment they make to the classroom schedule or work schedule).

Students must give the school a minimum of 24 hours notice if cancelling/rescheduling a lesson to avoid being charged 50% of the fees. No Show will lead to full charge.

School Cancellation/Rescheduling

The School reserves the right to cancel or reschedule your appointment due to any unforeseen circumstances. For example, instructor being sick, car breaking down or poor road conditions. Students will be notified as soon as possible. The lesson will be rescheduled at no cost to the student.

Student Drop-Out Policy

An instructor may drop-out a student for the following reasons:

• Student has more than one no-show for in-car lessons.

• Student is not returning the instructor’s telephone calls/text after several attempts during a one week period.

• Student cancels three or more scheduled lessons without valid reason. (Sporting/social events and unexpected work schedule changes are not considered valid reasons.)

Cancellation Fee

The cancellation fee is 50% of the appointment cost. Cancellation fees are paid by purchasing an eGift Card. eGift cards can be purchased from the school website and can be gifted to yourself or your loved ones. eGift Cards can be redeemed at anytime in the future because they don’t expire.


Payments can be made before, during or after each appointment. Payments are due no later than the end of the scheduled appointment. Payments are subject to applicable taxes. Payments methods accepted are Cash, E-Transfer, Debit/Credit Card, eGift Cards online (via the school website). Prices are as announced on our website (non-negotiable) and are subject to change without prior notice.

Refunding Policy

There will be no refund for driving lessons or car rental sessions that have taken place. Refunds will be paid for prepaid lesson(s) provided notice is received by the school 48 Hours prior to the scheduled lesson(s). The cancellation fee will apply to refunds requested within 48 hours of a scheduled lesson.

Student Liability

All our vehicles are fully insured in the event of an accident or collision. The school reserves the right to claim against the liable individual(s) in any accident or collision. If the student is found liable for any accident, collision or traffic violation, the students will be responsible in accordance to the Manitoba’s Highway traffic Act. This includes covering the cost for insurance policy deductible needed for vehicle repair. 

Media Policy

Shevyboy’s Driving School, reserves the right to, in whole or in part, reproduce, use, exhibit, display, broadcast, distribute and create derivative works of the photographed and/or filmed images of me – including my image, likeness, and/or voice without compensation, for use in connection with their activities or for promoting, publicizing, or explaining Shevyboy’s Driving School or its activities. This grant includes the right to publish such images in PR/promotional materials, such as marketing publications, advertisements, fundraising materials, public affairs releases, broadcast public service advertising (PSAs), recruitment materials, and any other Shevyboy’s Driving School – related publications or endeavors. These images may appear in any of the wide variety of formats/media available to Shevyboy’s Driving School and that may be available in the future, including but not limited to print, broadcast, videotape, DVD, electronic media, online media, and social media.

Code of Conduct

We ask that you treat our team with respect! The School will not tolerate abusive, aggressive, or threatening behavior toward our team members. In addition, anyone under the influence of drugs or alcohol will be refused service. Should any of these circumstances arise the School reserves the right to cancel the Student lesson with no refund. Please help us to make your learning experience a positive one.
